Writing this has been something I have been a little nervous about doing. As a GP I intensely dislike reading articles about how bad we are at doing certain things and so I didn’t want to just write one of those. As someone who has been significantly overweight and who talks to others in that position, I am acutely aware that a large part of the health profession and in fact the system as a whole is letting down a large number of those who approach it for help with the chronic disease that is obesity. How to #tweetchat?

It is easy to tweet chat! If you have never participated to a tweet chat, Fear NOT! It is easy. 1) Turn up on time. 2) Type the tweet chat hashtag (ie #obsmuk) in your twitter search box and click on the magnifying glass next to it 3) All the tweets related to the chat will appear in front of you. 4) Click on latest to see the latest tweets. 5) You can watch passively, read the tweets, like and retweet. 6) If you wish to contribute more, click on the tweet sign and then a new tweet will start. Always write the number of the question you are contributing to (Q1 for example) and the hashtag of the chat (ie #obsmuk). For example.
